He’s the first to volunteer to take on extra landscaping jobs when there is an opportunity, or when our company is experiencing a heavy workload—and he’s a team-focused leader, bridging any language gap because of his bilingual communication skills. Sergio joined Grassperson in 2005, and he is celebrating 15 years as a crew leader. His commitment to the company and growing a career in the landscape industry is an inspiring example to staff, as well as to people who might be considering a job in the landscape industry.
Sergio has been a crew leader since day one at Grassperson. He came to us with 15 years of landscape experience. Originally from Mexico, he obtained his Permanent Resident status (green card) in the mid-1980s.
Sergio is known for his strong work ethic—he is looked up to by his team members as a reliable, responsible, trusted leader. He is incredibly loyal, as the longest tenured employee at Grassperson. Sergio has trained many of our team members, and he has been a positive peer leader in a company with many great leaders. Everyone looks up to Sergio, and our clients respect him.
Sergio understands The Grassperson Way: how we deliver service and the quality standards we achieve. You can find evidence of his pride in workmanship on the beautiful properties he manages. He does everything possible to make sure our clients have the best lawn on the block.
Sergio and his wife, Magdalena, have 3 children (Jose Carlos (17), Alberto (16), and Estrella Guadalupe (14)) and at the end of each growing season, Sergio returns to their native home of Mexico to spend a few months together on vacation visiting with family and friends. Come late winter, Sergio returns to Lewisville, TX, ready to give his time and talent to our organization.
